Google is making important changes in its mergers and acquisitions team group, according to a report that has been published in the Reuters. According to the report, Google is replacing David Lawee with Don Harrison who is a high ranking lawyer at the company. The Reuters has made the comments in the following manner;
“Google Inc is replacing the head of its in-house mergers and acquisition group with one of its top lawyers and is planning to create a new late-stage investment group that longtime and outgoing corporate development Chief David Lawee will oversee”.
There are different viewpoints about this news and some analysts of the market are considering this change as more important.
According to a research house, Don Harrison is a high caliber and top ranking lawyer at Google is now replacing Lawee as head of the Internet search company’s mergers and acquisitions team and this thing seems somehow strange as Lawee holds the key position in the company.
According to the same research group, this move seems interesting due to different important reasons including the main reason that Google has already an early-stage arm which is called Google Ventures. This has the small but high caliber team that makes different investment decisions. According to the analysts of the market, this move would contribute a lot in the ongoing progress of the company.
