Google has announced the improved and more advanced version of Gmail 2.0 for its iOS devices. The Gmail app is the oldest app on the iOS devices and now the Google has announced it’s more improved and enhanced version. This version of Gmail 2.0 provides different improved features including the addition of profile pictures in the messages, new animations, infinite scrolling and some other important features too.
According to the officials of the company, this update is a solid one as the users have not positive view about the existing version of Gmail on iOS devices. This new version of Gmail 2.0 also includes the new features of new time savers including the auto complete predictions. These auto complete predictions appear when the users type in the search field. There is also something about Google+ in this version. The integration with the Google Calendar is also there in this updated version.
There is an interesting update for those users with multiple Google Accounts and this update is the ability to quickly switch between accounts from the menu. The users can find and choose between up to five Google accounts from the left side navigation. About this update, the officials of the company are quite hopeful.
Google has so far not mentioned about the updates in the blog post. This update has been made by the team of professionals that comes from Google acquisition, Sparrow. This team has previously built apps for Mac and iOS. This team joined the Google’s Gmail in order to introduce this bigger and advanced version.
This update for iOS app comes just after an update that has been designed for Android version. The updated version of Android 4.0+ has different important features including the new gestures like pinch-to-zoom and swipe-to-delete. It also includes the larger photo previews and a gallery view for different attachments. The ability to auto-fit messages to the screen is also there in this updated version of Android 4.0+.
