Facebook conducted a survey regarding the site governance and policy. In this survey about 619,000 people have cast their vote and 87% want to block these proposed changes. But there is one more day for the people to express their opinion about this issue. According to an estimate, there are 299.4 million more users who still have to share their opinion.
Some people are strongly criticizing this act of the Facebook. Facebook has conducted third time this site governance vote. Firstly it was conducted in April 2009 when almost 665,000 people voted and the second one was conducted in last June where almost 342,000 people cast their vote. Now, Facebook has also received more than 7,000 comments on this issue. Till now, almost 544,642 voted against these proposed changes and there are almost 75,539 people who are in favor of these changes.
If more than 30% of all Facebook users vote against this issue then on the basis of the majority the management of the company will be bound to block the new versions of Facebookâs Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and Data Use Policy.
If we talk about Facebook, it gave this vote a fair chance and it emailed all its users about this proposal. And now the time has come that what decision the company makes over this issue?
The proposed changes will be important for the company. With these proposed changes, the Facebook will be able to operate like other companies. It will listen to its users more ways than before but the users will not have a direct channel for this.
